Today's game: Minute Dungeon

Let me start off by saying I'm sorry for missing the last two weeks. I have had a lack of signal making it hard to post.

Today is a simple game part of the "minute" series. These games share the same sources as Minute Slash. There are hundreds of pets and items to collect.

The title screen shows you the basic 8-bit glory that is this simple game. There is a permanent banner ad at the bottom.

This is your town/level select. Each dungeon can be leveled up after you beat them, allowing you to get stronger items.

There are hundreds of items and pets to collect. Each item has an independent level so if you replay a dungeon at a higher level you can get stronger armor. Different weapons do different kinds of attacks or have elemental effects.

Your player level is odd. It resets every dungeon yet your maximum hp stays every time you regain a level. This is a very interesting mechanic.

The basic menu. You can not change items in the dungeon but you can switch between 4 different sets. You can set up your stats to automatically assign stats. It is recommended you keep all state balanced starting out.

You also collect many different healing items. Each item has an explanation to tell you what each one does.

This is your auto-assign menu. You can move them around to adjust what you want based on the kind of build you wish to try.

Basic stats of the game as you play. Not much here to go over.

The blacksmith can allow you to upgrade your favorite equipment to make it stronger.

Lastly, pets unlock from every enemy you run into. This allows you to keep trying for the pet you want to help you. Each pet gives you bonus stats.

Godzilla Defense Force

Want to be updated when the next blog goes live? Join my newsletter at: https://tinyletter.com/Hakuzo

Today's game is: Godzilla Defense Force

The King of Monsters is back! Today I bring you a game packed with so much information about every kaiju that has hit the big screen. You will collect kaiju and learn facts and history from the movies.

Welcome to earth. Aliens and kaiju will assault major cities. You start with Tokyo, and are greeted with an Inari shrine along with other noticeable landmarks. Lessee kaiju attack the city and it's your job to mobilize defenses. At the top you have coins. This is used to upgrade production building. The second currency is a fictitious radioactive currency. There is one last currency I'll cover later.

.
Welcome to Tokyo.  You tap the screen to build units. You can click on the cards to summon kaiju to help you by using the purple energy at the bottom of the screen. The G pulls up a building upgrade, I do not have a screenshot of it. If you click on the auto button you can build up power each day by watching videos. Autoclicker resets everyday.

Each city has special tasks that earn you radioactive currency.

The Codex button brings up all the collected cards you have accquired in the game. Clicking on a card will give you movie facts about the card. There's a lot to collect. When you collect the same card it can level up and become stronger.

You have global achievements as well that allow you to collect bonus currency.

The Time Travel allows you to reset the game, gain bonus artifacts that give you major power boost. You start over but keep cards and radioactive currency.

Lastly, the shop menu. Every 6 hours you can gain free cards. The last currency is moonshine. You unlock it later in the game. A passively collect it from people you rescue during the game.

Overall :

 4 of 5 cogs.

Overall, this is a standard infinite clicker. The movie facts is a nice touch. Other than that, the game is very similar to many idle clickers.

Story:

 4 of 5 cogs

There is a story and it adds a twist to the normal Godzilla movies. I cant reveal the story without spoiling it.

Amount of ads:

There are no extra videos or pop-ups telling you to buy stuff. There are optional videos you can watch for the auto clicker.

The videos I've seen match the gameplay. There are no fake gimics to make you download the game. The playstore images match as well.

Graphics:

 5 of 5 cogs.

The graphics are clean but gives a feel of an old comic book. The game feels like it's designed for all ages yet has a cartoon look.

Audio:
N/A

I don't have anything to say about the sound as this was a game I didn't get to listen to the sound. So unfortunately I can't relay anything about audio.

Gameplay:

 4 of 5 cogs

The game has a few different features than a standard clicker game, but it is very similar. The Godzilla theme helps keeper me hooked because I want to get all the facts I can. Other than that the interest may fade rapidly.

Free play:
💯%

The game is free to play as long as you spend the radioactive currency wisely. Some building upgrades require this currency to boost. I do not know if those carry over in a reset or not.

Fun factor:
😏 Nostalgic.

This is a great game for anyone to play that is a fan of Godzilla. The movie facts is a great touch and there is some things to get you playing. I do warn you the power spikes get rough very quickly, so be warned of early game progress being slow.

Harvest Town

Want to be updated when the next blog goes live? Join my newsletter at: https://tinyletter.com/Hakuzo

Today's game is: Harvest town
(No link available as its an early access game.)

Today's game is a fun farm simulator that has been optimized for mobile play.

Harvest town is free to play and you must sign up for early access to play. There appears to be some form of multiplayer but I have not progressed enough to figure it out.

This game used HD pixel art and has features found in a Harvest Moon, Rune Factory, or Stardew Valley like game.

The main game screen has a lot of information to take in. You have access to all of your tools on the bottom of the screen. You tap to move around. Select your tool and you can automatically interact with all objects around you every time you tap. The goal is to collect resources and fix the farm up.

Each action uses stamina, and foods can restore it, along with sleeping. Loading screens claim you regen stamina while offline.

Your main inventory screen. You have two main currency, good and gems. It takes 60 gems to unlock a backpack upgrade. I recommend this first. Later the gems can buy new crafting recipes.

The second tab contains all the craftable items you can make. Clicking on each one shows what materials you need to collect.

The skills tab shows you all the skills you learn. Most progress as you do certain actions just like Stardew Valley

This screen shows you how much the townfolk like you. There appears to be a dating mechanic as well.

The next two screenshots show all sorts if things you can do to earn gems.

The delivery truck is where you make money. Complete tasks and deliver them. There's a lot of quests to jeep you going.

Lastly, I give you a peek at the map. There are many stores to visit and people to talk to. There are many more areas to explore as well.

Overall:

5 of 5 cogs.

This game blends so many games together nicely and I highly recommend you check out this game if you are new to farming sims. It's simple enough to pick up and learn.

Story:

 4 of 5 cogs.

The story has a unique intro and it has a lot of mystery to it. As I've only progressed part way I can not comment anymore beyond this point.

Amount of ads:

There are no outside ads besides optional ones you can watch for goodies.

Advertised as seen:
💯%

As far as I can see, images found on Google Play match gameplay. Straightforward and points out the type of game this is.

Graphics:

5 of 5 cogs.

Clean crisp sprite art that looks great on mobile. Comprehensive UI and fairly easy to navigate.

Audio:

5 of 5 cogs.

Bright and cheery music. It reminds me of all the similar games to this one.

Gameplay:

5 of 5 cogs.

Easy and fun to use. The game is very well tuned for mobile use. Note: The game warns you will lose progress and be reset when the game launched fully.

Free play:
75%

You can play and get everything free to play but there is a "membership" that gives you a lot of different boosts and bonuses. I feel that since progress is to be reset, there's no point to buy it until after release unless you really want to support the creators.

Fun factor :
☺ Excellent.

This is the best farm simulator I've found for free. It has a lot to do. I recommend everyone to try it.
