Hero emblem Review

Today is going to be a warning about Hero Emblem. This game has assets blatantly stolen from Fire Emblem Heroes. Today will be a short review as I didn't keep this game for long at all. (No link as I do not support a game with stolen assets.)

From what I've seen, this company is reputed to be a bad company. I'll leave that research up to you.

This game is very confusing. They throw a lot of information at you and very poorly translated.

This is the main game screen. It gives the illusion that this is an idle game, but you do not get anything from these automated battles. They don't appear to tie into anything.

Upon further inspection,  the screenshot closely resembles that of Fire Emblem Heroes. I thought of showing a side by side screenshot but that would take away from this review.

This is the main game. It auto fights enemies. No selectable skills, no interactivity.

At some point, you can merge the hundreds of heroes you collect into S rank cards. There's no clear help on how to do this effectively. It takes a lot of currency to do so.

The only interactivity is spam clicking level up on your troops or putting equipment on them which is also able to be merged.

Overall:
๐Ÿšซ 0/5.

Overall, avoid this game. It's boring and has lots of stolen assets. I recommend reporting this game to Google Play.

Story:
๐Ÿšซ 0/5.

Poorly translated and not much of a story at all.

Amount of ads:

No outside ads, accept for in-game ads to buy premium currency or such.

Advertised as seen:
๐Ÿšซ 0%

All of the ads are misleading. They depict gameplay that is different than what you get.

Graphics:
๐Ÿšซ 0/5.

Most of the art is stolen and changed slightly.

Audio:
๐Ÿšซ 0/5.

The sounds and music is generic fantasy. It may possibly be stolen as well from other games.

Gameplay:
๐Ÿšซ 0/5.

Utter trash. Confusing and no real way to know what you're supposed to be doing half the time.

Free play:
 ๐ŸŒŸ 100%

As far as I can tell, it's all free to play with microtransactions.

Fun factor:
๐Ÿคฎ sickeningly bad.

Not fun at all.

Castle Fusion Idle Clicker

You can try out the game here: Castle Fusion Idle Clicker

Want to be updated when the next blog goes live? Join my newsletter at: https://tinyletter.com/Hakuzo

This game put out by Shark Jump is an idle/merge game. There are 3 main areas to place towers or vehicles. This is not the typical tower defense game. There is no danger to the player so it is a chill game.

The first section is the keep. Crates deliver turrets based on whatever upgrades you have. Along the top is the area name, scraps, and diamonds. The bottom row of towers contain plots that must be purchased. Temporarily by scraps or permanently by diamonds.

Scraps are the basic currency you get based on the total number of towers and their combined levels. You use scrap on some upgrades and to buy more turrets. More on these later.

Diamonds are the premium currency. There are obtainable through gameplay. It is very possible to get all the upgrades without spending money.

Lastly, birds show up like the Phoenix. You click on them for rewards.

The second area is the trails. Goblins on elephants attack. Again this doesn't amount to anything. The turrets get infused with magic, becoming stronger and provides more scraps.

In the last area, there are no turrets, but you get tanks, Mechs, and airships. Each is powered by the same materials and magic as the second area. Now we chase after the orcs.

As you merge towers, you gain levels. They can be used to upgrade various stats.

Here is very easy to obtain achievements in the game. Each one gives you some diamonds to upgrade with.

These are just a sample of the lower tier towers. Each purchase with scraps increases the cost.

Next, we have upgrades. These unlock as you progress through the story or as you buy certain upgrades.

Now once you upgrade the last vehicle, the last area opens up. Here once the keep is upgraded, you unlock a random dragon.

Each dragon gives different boosts based on the color. I still have to discover all the dragons.

Now we are brought to the "end game". This tavern is where souls gather. You upgrade everything in this tab to unlock the legendary tavern. I have not reached that far. The legendary tavern is supposed to mark the "end" of the game in some way.

Overall:

3 of 5 cogs.

The game is simple and easy to pick up. Anyone can easily play this game without paying anything for it. Plus it works offline.

Story:

3 of 5 cogs.

There Is a story. It starts fairly standard. A war against goblins, but then the story takes a turn. So far you reveal the next chapter by prestiging(resetting the world). You have to restart about 10 times to get the whole story.

Amount of ads:

Starting there are no ads. You can choose to watch videos for some bonuses. Sometimes the Phoenix gives you a button for video to get bonuses. You can also watch a video to spin a wheel.

Additionally, you can turn on banner ads to get bonus scrap production. This game has a very refreshing and unobtrusive way of handling ads.

Advertised as seen:
๐Ÿ’ฏ%

The game is straight forward with its advertising. You get exactly what is shown. No tricks.

Graphics:

 4 of 5 cogs.

The graphics are all 3d renders. I had no lag issues and the graphics remain smooth. The graphics are a bit cartoony, but this game is appropriate for all ages.

Audio:

3 of 5 cogs.

The sound effects are very repetitive and can be annoying after a while. The music feels very generic fantasy as well and does not stand out. They get a middle road review.

Gameplay:

4 of 5 cogs.

The gameplay is fairly fun but it does get repetitive very fast. It is easy to pick up and easy to forget about. The game does give currency while away. You can watch an ad to receive double currency.

Free play:
 ๐Ÿ’ฏ %

What else can I say? This game is free to play and you can get everything without paying for anything. I call this game a win all around.

Fun factor:
๐Ÿ™‚ Average.

The game is fun but does start to get boring. I feel this is average for most merging games. Shark Jump has a couple of other merge games that appear to use this same engine. I may review them in the future as well.

Note: having trouble with picture alignment. I Will update you when I get to a PC.

Wood Turning (simulator)

Today's game:
Wood Turning (simulator) by Voodoo

Want to be updated when the next blog goes live? Join my newsletter at: https://tinyletter.com/Hakuzo

You can find the game here: Wood Turning

This is a game I've seen advertised in several mobile game ads. This game is short, simple and well... Glitchy.

The basics:
You start off with a chunk of wood, metal or even fruit. You use either one of the three tools to carve away the material until you get as close to the shape as possible.

Once you move on, you use a sponge/sandpaper that you control the width of it. A sponge seems very unusual for such a task. You will move it around to smooth out all the curves.

At this point, the game crashed when I tried to take a screenshot, so these next screencaps are from another play:

Now onto spray painting. The last 3 colors are locked behind videos you must watch to open them up. That feels very silly to me.

Now for the last step. You can not skip this step:

As you can see here, there are several locked. You start off only with the first two unlocked. The rest are unlocked via video or $3,000 in-game currency. It is the only thing you can use the money right now.

After you peel off the stencil, parts of the original material are revealed. It's not even very pretty. Then you collect money based on how well you copied the original shape. Rinse. Repeat. Infinite♾️.

Overall:

 3 of 5 cogs.

Overall, the game is fun for about 10 minutes. The game is very forgettable. On Google play, you can find a long list of clones, which I can not say is better or not.

Amount of ads:

High levels

This game is loaded with Ads. You get a mini thumbnail ad at the start. You get ads between each step that can be skipped after 5 seconds. I recommend unlocking the three colors then play with airplane mode on. (More about ads and this kind of game later in the blog.)

Advertised as seen:
๐ŸŒŸ ๐Ÿ’ฏ%

You get what is shown in previews. Simple, straightforward and no real meat to the game.

Graphics:

 1 of 5 cogs.

The graphics are very simple and lack anything beyond the 3d part of the game. The stencils ruin the finished product and make it look ugly.

The different kind of material is a small interest but doesn't add much.

Audio:

0 of 5 cogs.

Non-existent. No sound effects, no music. The only noticeable thing is the phone vibrates as you lathe.

Gameplay:

 3 of 5 cogs.

Simple and fast to pick up and put down. It is very repetitive and boring.

Free play:
 ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ’ฏ%

This game is 100% free to play at this time. No microtransactions. No loot crates. But this game eats data for videos. Watch the initial 3 for colors and play in airplane mode.

Fun factor:
๐Ÿคจ Variable. It starts out fun, ends mediocre.

Once again, fun for a short time.

Welcome to my new blog.

Greetings Internet,
I am Hakuzo Sionnach. I can be found all over the Internet but I have decided to start reviewing mobile games. I don't know how many times I see so many games advertised with false graphics or use cheap gimmicks to get you to click those ads.

I will download and try as many new games as possible that I see advertised. I will go over games I currently play. Those may contain screenshots. I will also go over old games I've played but they will not be as in-depth.

My plans how I will break down games by:

  • graphics
  • game play
  • Performance
  • Possible beginner tips
  • Type of game
  • Warnings if pay to win, loot crates, microtransactions.
  • How playable it is to play for free and be competitive. (I really don't like to pay for mobile games. So I will give a value notice.)
I plan to attempt a weekly post. I have a lot of games I currently and actively play.

Planned games to review so far:
  • Topwar
  • Pokemon go
  • Super Monster League
  • My singing monsters
  • Disney heroes
  • Wonder knights
  • Fire Emblem Heroes
  • Yogioh duel links
  • Crashlands
  • Digimon Rearise
  • Castle Fusion
  • Zen koi 2
  • Planet Masters
  • Dragon Epic
  • Idle Defense
  • Upgrade the Game 3
  • Many more!
