Today's game: Towelfight 2

Oncan again, the brothers are back with a very challenging but crazy game. A mix of legend of Zelda and binding of issac blended together with a very crazy story. If you see this screen you're on the right game page. Another game created by Butterscotch Shenanigans using GameMaker Studios.

The animated title screen shows you some of the "ammo" you acquire in the game.

Basic 8 direction movement with dual stick touch controls. You move around. Shoot bushes and collect coins or keys. You see the animals in the top right? That is the ammo you shoot from your magical monocle. Each animal has two power-ups and each animal has different attack patterns. Coins are used to buy said upgrades and some animals.

Various animals or monocol upgrades are found here. There are so many things to find in this game. Remember to kill the bosses by shooting animals from your face! (Just don't tell animal contol.)

Lastly the map. Shows you all you need to find. The skull is the boss location. Other points of interest can be found on the map. You may even run into characters from other Butterscotch games.

Overall:

 5 of 5 cogs.

Hours of insane humor that will keep you saying "what?" The brothers do not dissapoint.

Story:

 5 of 5 cogs.

If you can keep up with the story and find the Easter eggs from other games you will be immersed in universe of pure chaos. You'll never look at reality the same way ever again.

Controls:

 3 of 5 cogs.

Let me take a moment here. Player movement is fine and so are the menu buttons but.... the shooting controls are 4 way only and I've had times where I've died because the ammo went in the wrong direction or not fired at all. This is the only downside to the whole game. The crosshair doesn't recenter fast enough to transition to another direction. Addium: changing the controls to floating fixes this but I really don't like how it looks visually.

This game was created with an early business model and you have to butter-up to enable cloud saving. You can survive without paying money and the game can be cleared without purchases.

June's Journey

Today's game is: June's Journey

Today's game is a proper hidden object game that has drawn me in a lot. The game is a mystery backed adventure with lots to find and discover.

This is one scene you experience. This us the basics for the game. You will have to find a story clue on every level. Some have two. You will replay each level multiple times to collect all five stars or find all clues.

This is the manor June has inherited from her parents. As you find clues, you earn money to buy new landscape items or upgrade buildings. The second purple diamond is a premium currency that allows you to buy rare items to put on the manor grounds. You have limited energy to work with and refills fairly quickly. Last is a level that is raised by building up the manor, which then unlocks more areas. As you continue on you collect compasses that allow you to remove fog and gain more space.

There are many items you can unlock to improve the manor. Avoid these smaller items until later unless you need just a couple of points to level.

As you play through and earn stars, you gain bonus boxes that allow you to gain money and items to upgrade buildings.

The last thing you find is pictures of different NPCs that give you bonus energy.

Overall:

 5 of 5 cogs.

This game is so simple but it is extremely easy to play. The game flow is very smooth and you can easily progress just by playing a few minutes every day.

Story:

 5 of 5 cogs.

There is a very deep story that unfolds as you find clues. The game is set in the 50s and a lot of iconic things from an older era. There is so much story I have to discover still.

Amount of ads:

No outside ads but you do get shown in-game ads to buy things.

Straight forward and transparent here. I may have seen video ads for this game long ago but they have been rare, so I don't remember them.

Graphics:

The graphic is very highly detailed even for a mobile game. This is a beautiful game that is a trip to the past.

Audio:

4 of 5 cogs.

Very simple and subtle music and sound effects that don't distract from the game.

Gameplay:

 5 of 5 cogs.

Fast, easy, and fun. Each level starts with only a few items. As you start up, each scene gains more items and more challenging.

You can easily play this game without buying anything at all.

Fun factor:
🥳 party all the time!

Such a great game I plan to keep playing.

Flop Rocket

Today's game is: Flop Rocket

Today I bring you a sci-fi game from the Butterscotch Shenanigans universe. The game is very simple. You play a lunar lander clone but the goal is to reach space. The problem: you start in a cave.

I've been following the Butterscotch games for some time. This game is the second mobile game the team of brothers released.

The title screen is simple. You can log into Butterscotch's system to save progress or unlock special achievements that give bonuses in other games by this team. You can optionally give a one-time premium purchase to unlock access to all upgrades.

As you play and complete random missions you get coins to upgrade your spaceship. Each one makes it easier to reach space.

The simple gameplay uses touch to increase velocity. The bar on the left changes the angle.

You get special missions and have 3 tries to complete it. You earn juice That allows you to buy one-time powerups to help you along.  Coins are earned by distance. If you butter-up, you earn double the coins. Easy and simple fight against physics.

Overall :

 5 of 5 cogs.

This may be a simple game but it's fun. It is very challenging and takes a lot of skill to progress.

Story:

 4 of 5 cogs

There is a little bit of story at the start and I think when you reach space. Butterscotch Shenanigans have a very interesting sense of humor. Each game loosely links to the others to form a lively universe.

Amount of ads:

None! That's all there is to say.

The brothers will not mislead you. Everything is very straightforward.

Graphics:

Sam has a very lively style of art that has defined Butterscotch. The art is unique and you will not find any other place.

Audio:

 4 of 5 cogs

The audio for this game was outsourced but it is snappy and fitting to the game. It doesn't get repetitive as you play.

Gameplay:

 5 of 5 cogs.

Very simple and easy gameplay. It will take a little time to get used to the game. This is a skill based game but you also need a lot of luck.

Free play:
💯% you can play without buttering-up but this is one game I recommend paying to upgrade to support an indy company.

Fun factor:
🍿 Buttery smooth.
